Who won the movie
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Overacting Award
Michael Biehn
Most Rewatchable Scene · 33:10
Early candidates include every Ginger scene, Bill Paxton’s arrival, and Rick Rossovich returning from a plate-glass-window throw to keep fighting in his underwear.
Bill Simmons: Tech Noir combines indiscriminate danger, slow-motion club imagery, Sarah recognizing both pursuers, Kyle’s rescue, and the reveal that shotgun blasts cannot stop Arnold.
The Neil McCauley “A Book about Metals” Award for Best Line from the Movie · 1:34:27
Shea Serrano: “You’re terminated” is recalled uncertainly and not treated as the winner because the panel cannot immediately reconstruct the exact wording.

Tech Noir
The title, Arnold’s casting and dialogue, the gun-shop scene, supporting actors, synth score, romance, practical effects, and the unkillable-villain structure
Future-war effects, dated chronology and hair, exposed nudity, a personal scooter association, the Harlan Ellison dispute, Ginger’s food and pet choices, and John Connor’s weak message
The unnamed-to-the-panel psychiatrist who later returns in Terminator 2
Rick Rossovich beats Bill Paxton for the heat check through a phone call, sex scene, fearless underwear fight, and unrealized post-Top Gun momentum.
Mid-1980s Los Angeles; cheap 1980s hotel-room sex (joking); possibly Tech Noir among Pico-area nightclubs
A ten-episode version could cross-cut Kyle and John’s machine-war future against Sarah’s pursuit until the two timelines collide.
Split: the crawling half-Terminator; Rick Rossovich’s briefs or Ginger’s sandwich; Arnold’s red motorcycle
